me no see

i use imgur.com (thanks tmg51) as my online photo storage, very smooth and easy to use/post to sites

Congrats!

Pics not working for me either tho... I use Photobucket with AdblockerPlus enabled...

Sorry guys, I use google photos, I guess you have to be logged into google to see them
I can no longer access my photobucket for some reason, or more accurately, I can go there and look at picks, but can't upload them I'm guessing because I use my cell as a modem
can you post photos to imgur via cell phone?

well looked into Imgur, according to some, it runs in background full time and is a data hog, maybe I should try tapatalk, so I can post direct from phone

I have done nothing yet, nasty chest cold it was all I could do to make myself go to work
Last night I coughed a lot of it up (yuk) and finally sweated for the first time since Friday
went to transfer title today, and turn in Disabled Veteran plates I have no business having on a car
I need some 15" wheels before i can put any rubber on it, and not sure where to start demo
How much of a pain is it to convert this model GMC with rear AC to non rear AC? never had to do that before

Thanks Bob, were you able to see pics, or is google still being mean?

still no pics. as far as deleting the rear AC you need to get hoses off a van that came with no rear AC and replace them. of course you need to evacuate the system first and recharge after. why do you want the rear AC gone? highdesertranger

Because it eats a ton of overhead room in the back, and I'm not sure how I'd go about demoing while keeping that big ol box in place
Honestly I don't know if it even works, was a cool night I bought it, and I never tried it
The PO said he thinks it does, but wasn't charged (tranlation, it likely leaks)
I dunno why Google photos isn't working letting the pics be viewed, guess I'll have to resort to video, or something
lets try her this way

the front AC and the rear AC are both the same system so if the front AC works, so does the back. the rear simply Tee's off the front. so like I said you need hoses without the tee's of course you need an AC person to recover the Freon and to recharge it. unless you know someone this will cost some bucks. still no pics I get a 404 error when I click your links. highdesertranger

Oh, I know the front and rear work off the same compressor, etc, I don't know if the AC works at all, is what I'm saying
I once worked on an Astro with rear AC, but that was the only rear AC vehicle I ever worked on
let me see what the hell, I had the same problem on another forum, something I did fixed it, but I don't remember what

can anyone see this one?

Not in a bus, but in a transport wheelchair van, I removed rear floor heater and rear roof A\C. Same reason, room. I had to cut 4-5 hoses from units. 2 hoses were for coolant(heater) followed those up to front and plugged them from ideas I got here and the rest of the internet. See photo and look for yellow twist ties with 4 "O" clamps....

The other 2 hoses(A\C)were cut and followed them from rear to front to find A\C refrigeration unit in engine compartment. Haven't cut those in front yet(rear are cut). VV timid as I am not a mechanic and see pic(above) for proof...lol. I just don't use A\C and not planning on keeping it. One of these days(post Haynes manual or service manual ownage), I will see if I can't wreck my week by trying to remove refrig unit from engine area.

Best of luck.

Thanks for that, Wabbit, I might toss the AC myself, entirely, but I'm just thinking it out right now
Oh, for got to mention this, just today noticed the fog / driving lights behind the grill (I thought this thing had some really bright hi beams, it's incredible, compared to my stock Ranger)
that led me to a closer look and the discovery of, a big honking transmission cooler!
the hitch on the back looks to be a class 1, so I doubt it's done much towing

When you go up big hills\mountains, your tranny will heat up. They replaced my tran cooler with a "hvy duty" tran cooler, and I still felt it get hot hot hot going thru New Mexico. Some decent elevation climbs there but not what I thought were "mountains". Hopefully it does handle mountains. File that under, things I didn't know in Iowa...lol.

I think this one is a factory install, and it's fully as big as the radiators, in terms of frontal area
were you able to see the new pic? trying to figure out how to post them so others can see them
