My Private Investigator friend is encouraging me to get a handgun for protection if I insist on traveling alone.  Is that something you other single girls have done?  CA Laws are more strict than other states; what are the requirements if you're traveling through other states?

There is some lawyer type who publishes a yearly book with all the current by state laws for guns.  I remembering learning about it from the Escapees list but can't remember any other info about it except it was highly recommended.

I signed up for SOTF. Have only been able to make one gathering.
They are more weekend warriors vs vandwellers so I probably won't renew my membership;.
