Some of the Russian Tanks carried a log to do the same thing, just chain it to the tracks and your done.

There’s mud and then there is real mud. Note in the video there is grass growing, the tracks are not filling with water and there is no grey silt type clay sticking to the tire filling the wheel well all signs of real mud. Stay away from real mud.

I used to work at a landfill, we had some SERIOUS mud. We had a box pit that was 40 feet deep where we push to mud into. More that once we would get a little to close with the Dozer and have to go get the cable and pull it out.
