I just got this email from a lady that I met at the last RTR, and they are offering a free place to stay in San Diego in exhange for some help around the house. This isn't for everyone, but if you want to explore San Diego, help some folks out in their time of need and be in a fairly moderate weather, then this might be for you. She also knows of another need like it in Southeast Arizona.

If you are interested, email me and I will forward your email on to her:

We are now seeking a boondocker with a smaller rig, under 20 feet, who would like to park in San Diego for a while and help out a couple.  Father is dealing with cancer, Mother is sole support of family.  They need someone to serve as home help, food prep and house cleaning in trade for a place to hook up in a lovey garden in San Diego.  Someone who is honest and self sufficient [their own income albeit small].  The details to be worked out with 'Mom.'   There are no small children involved, children are grown up.  I am hoping to locate someone on your recommendation. Perhaps for a month commitment, and then go from there.

If you have a tried and true non-smoking, non-drinking, drug free boon docker you can recommend, this could be a good opportunity.  A retired nurse, man or woman, would be ideal but nursing not required.  Just home help.

Another similar situation is also available in Southeast Arizona, for a work-trade situation for a mature, responsible person who can handle the expense of their own food, but would trade labor in exchange for a place to park for a while.

The folks seeking help are all non-smoking, non-drinking, drug free [mostly vegetarian] meditators, so like minded helpers would be gratefully received.

Damn! What a great offer! I wish I were free

Have they checked to see if an RV parked at their place for a month would be allowed in their neighborhood?
