Hi all, Slim here.

I stumbled across this lifestyle accidentally on YouTube. Though I'm not new to minimalism (I lived outside for 2 years in a work camp.) I do find this a bit daunting. Lady luck was on my side though, a relative is moving and decided to trade me an Isuzu Trooper for a good deal of work to fashion his house for sale. For the record, he's an old (80) Navy dog, and I would've done it anyway...he's too cool to be an inlaw...but, he's never taken anything for free so..

Cool thing is, I now get a test vehicle. I can build a bed, try out solar, attempt to stealth camp (sheesh), and all that cool stuff. I'm most excited about the 4WD. I adore the woods, just had no way to get to them. My Intruder 1400 isn't much of a dirt bike, know what I'm sayin'?

Anyway, that's me. Give a shout if ya like! =D

I know you've been around for awhile, POK, but here's your official welcome!

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

I had an 86 Trooper a few years back. Loved that little car. they'll run forever if you take care of them.

Thank you Cyndi!

Yes, I've been lurking and testing the waters. This was my second forum, and was hesitant as I'd seen a LOT of problems I didn't want on the first. Besides, I really have no experience to offer...yet. ;)

I've been amazed at the staggering amount of knowledge I've found here. I don't quite fit in because of my age, but that's just another opportunity to learn.

Be well, Cyndi.
