M&S- I wish I had access to one of those geniuses. LOL...

 Sadly, or madly, I don't always have access to the genius, and the other 3 are only partial geniuses.

Anyway, regardless of what MH I eventually purchase, I would want him to replace the cabinets, unless they're fantastic.  The ones in REX could, perhaps be changed in configuration.  Taller?

Shadow... do you mind this banter that is off subject on your thread?

Hey 1/2, in case you're still about, thought you might be interested in this. I'd never heard of these things. They showed killing one in the CaravanCarolyn video.

"Stung by a tarantula hawk? The advice I give in speaking engagements is to lie down and scream. The pain is so debilitating and excruciating that the victim is at risk of further injury by tripping in a hole or over an object in the path and then falling onto a cactus or into a barbed-wire fence. Such is the sting pain that almost nobody can maintain normal coordination or cognitive control to prevent accidental injury".

Upgrading my rig w20190817_101631.jpg20190817_101604.jpgith a diesel heater mounted under the passenger seat pedestal. Installed a A/C which runs well off of my solar.  And installing flooring with insulation in the cockpit.

Installed a aluminum cabinet with a drop down working surface. My induction stove and toaster fit great on the surface. It will be mainly my coffee bar.

Installing 110 A/C outlets on both sides of the rig. No more extension cord and power strip yay!  Not sure what I am going to do with the side walls can't make up my mind. Ohh well low priority.

Inverter from 400AH battery bank Charged by 680 watts solar panels. I do carry a 2000 watt generator but haven't had the need for it yet other than powering other peoples rigs lol. Might use it for A/C on rare occasions to keep the generator fuel from varnishing and keeping it lubricated. I run most things off 12 volt so I won't have to use the inverter. I use the 110 for my induction stove in the AM for my for hot coffee water and toaster. Now I will run my A/C at full sun and still charge my batteries. My solar puts out around 38 amps at 12 volts. Occasionally higher or lower depends of course.

are you going to hardwire your outlets to your invertor? the reason I am asking is I need a new inverter and I see that on the Renogy's they have the option to hard wire them. they also come with a remote meter. I think I am going to start a thread and ask for comments. highdesertranger

I have 2 110 wiring wiring runs that are hardwired into my 2500 watt inverter then to a CB box with 2-15 amp breakers one of the 15 amp breakers runs to where I installed a waterproof outlet in the bay with the A/C It also allows me to run extension cord outside if needed. I will daisy chain another 110 wire and run to an internal outlet on the right side of the rig. The other 15 amp breaker will run to and inside outet on the left side of the cabin.  The inverter remote is plug and play. it is the black wire going into the plug on the back side of the inverter.

HDR if you are using lithium batteries and you want to charge your batteries while driving, you will need to get a battery to battery charger.  I didn't have one and it burned my alternator up. Lithium batteries will take all the power a charging source can supply and then some, they have no shame lol. I got a 30 amp B2B charger and limits the charge to 30 amps. If you have a strong enough alternator you can get a 60 amp. My alternator is stock and only is rated at 124 amps.

what brand inverter? no Lithium for me yet still to expensive to justify I get too long of a life out of my flooded to justify Lithium. now for small items that use batteries yes I am trying to convert over to Lithium. highdesertranger

Cotek inverter.  Check out the new carbon batteries that have come out. And perform like lithium. You can take them down to 0% 20% preferable.

They cost around $250.00 vs 1k for lithium for 100 AH battery. Haven't researched them heavily since I already have lithium.
