Masks have become essential attire for the pandemic at least. So not off topic.

I cannot get enough air through the mask for physical activity. Listed earlier were some fabric alternatives, I will start with the neck gaiter for exercise and see how it goes.

Ravella do you have the long ones or the shorter ones?
Long or short? Not a headband, if thats what you mean. I have the original Buffs. The kind contestants on Survivor got. Or get. Is survivor still happening?

BTW, you've seen one or two of mine. On my head and/or on my wrist every time I hopped in your putt putt.

The coolnet UV+ fabric used by Buffs has a spf rating of 50 and is endorsed as protective clothing, tons of great styles and can be worn in multiple ways. And Buffs is also having a 40% off sale right now. Great choice.

The Hoo-rag site I provided in post 130 above was also having a sale, the fabric listed as SPF 30. I ordered their sale package and I will let you know how that works out.

Great! I would like to know how they compare.

Very simple I cut off the sleeves and turned inside out a black t shirt left years ago by the kids slumber party; what- ever the wife has marked for Good Will (ya right women) is MY latest fashion. Sears and Monkey Wards will go broke waiting for my business...!

Awesome idea. I made one myself last week, much better without sleeves. This is a super classy look if it was a western snap shirt, redneck chic.

You can also crop the top (cut off the bottom of the shirt) for more airflow on your midriff.

You would have to paint a mural on it to fit in, but saves the neck.

This year I grew my hair long and am using that to cover the neck. I have also read that mens beards block UV rays but does not cover that bare spot up top.

Depends on which school.  In some circles it is high class attire.

You people are so well dressed! I just wear jeans and mostly black shirts...

I'm reviving an old comment just to say I could have written this.

Just today I was thinking about what clothes to pack for my roadtrip and it's like well, I have this black shirt and that black shirt and this other black shirt.  I'm taking one top that isn't black.  Black goes so well with silver hair!  I'd wear purple if I could find anything in the exact shade of purple I like.  My new hiking boots are exactly that shade. :)

Well it is high time for a vest in most places. I got one of these several years ago and has been long lasting and just warm enough.
Wearing a vest warms you up in the evenings. I sleep in mine so cold mornings are not so cold & with a hat and booties or sox (pants too please) no need for a heater.

Their fleece vest is also excellent but pricey. -c
