My motorhome has a 6 gallon propane hot water heater. The hot water heater leaks. Instead of repairing/replacing it I was thinking about installing a unit like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q1CL1T...zx-STL9BLE1ZRPNW7PGvpLmf8uClXKDz-TOJfiv4e0C7I

After realizing this uses 3000watts I have my doubts that it would work. I would be using this primarily at campsites with 30 amp service. Any thoughts or Alternatives?

I must be getting sleepy, I'm having trouble reading that Amazon link.

It says it pull 32amps at 110v but then they show it with a 15amp plug? How does that work?

I have been told by people in the industry that electric on demand water heaters don't work all that well.

Anyone interested in buying a 2004 E450 15 passenger bus with only 25,000 carfaxed certified miles? Yes ONLY 25,000 MILES AND 2 OWNERS!!! It is located in South Texas and has a working wheel chair ramp new tires.

If anyone was curious I ended up using this to replace my hot water heater.

It works pretty good. It actually fits well in the spot where the old gas heater was. Biggest downside is I have to run its own power cord as I don't have a strong enough circuit in the RV it's self.

The water gets super hot, about 180 degrees. I ended up turning it down quite a bit. I cant take a super long shower with it but considering the size of my grey tank that's fine. It will get up to temperature in about 10 minutes.

If you leave the temperature high at like 180 degrees, and get a thermostatic mixing valve/anti-scald device, you're hot 100 degree water at the faucet will last longer.
