Most bad guys would view a disability placard as an indication you are less able to defend yourself or older and helpless if they don't see you. While neither is true in my case I don't me or the van to be perceived as a soft target in the first place. And I do sometimes limp which is bad enough for the perception it can give the nefarious who don't take a second to look closer.

LMAO - Thankfully, I still have one good ear so I can hear 'em coming.

In all seriousness though, I buy into the stealth aspect pretty aggressively and try to think from the perspective of others. It only takes one arsehole one time to cause problems. Even if the odds of that happening are low I'd rather decrease them some more.
