While neither is true in my case I don't me or the van to be perceived as a soft target in the first place. And I do sometimes limp which is bad enough for the perception it can give the nefarious who don't take a second to look closer.

In all seriousness though, I buy into the stealth aspect pretty aggressively and try to think from the perspective of others. It only takes one arsehole one time to cause problems. Even if the odds of that happening are low I'd rather decrease them some more.
