Does connection between batteries and inverter require a fuse?

As a rule you should always follow, NEVER connected anything to the battery without a fuse. Absolutely NOTHING.

Yes crimped wires are much better in a moving vehicle.
Soldered wires create a stress point that can cause the wire to eventually fail near the solder joint due to the vehicles motion and vibrations.

Always use stranded wire in a vehicle, never use solid house style AC wire for your 120VAC circuits. Solid wire is not designed to withstand the vibration and motion of a moving vehicle and will eventually fail.
 
If you buy your wire at the home store, don't get stranded wire that says THHN on the sheath. This wire will break in a mobile application even if it is stranded (very coarse strands). It will also be stiff.
 
yes NO SOLID WIRE, even though that's what most RV manufacturers use.

get USCG(US Coast Guard) Marine wire rated for 110v. they make it in flat(like Romex) or round you can also buy it in individual wire.
