Yea. They never defined what they meant as a 'weapon'. just kept asking if i had a weapon. And yes, i was worried about being thought a wise ass, but i was thinking the LEO was being the wise ass. i was getting a bit paranoid.

I don't think you're being a wise ass nor paranoid at all. Here's an example of a cop trying to trick someone into try to get them to allow him to search their car. Things like this also helps in getting them promotions.
