SternWake,

Do the Blue Seas fuse holders NOT heat up like the cheapo inline fuse holders passing >20amps? (I expect not, if you recommend them, but want to make sure.)

Thanks.

The glass fuse inline holders are certainly problem prone.

Blue seas is usually pretty good quality.  The fuse is resistance by nature and will always heat to some degree, but the quality of the push on quick connections to fuse should not present much resistance and create little to no extra heat, some dielectric grease will help slow oxidation.  Caig DeOxit Shield is also good for this

Find 10 AWG ATC holders if you can, but beware of the cheapo chinese ones, not 10 awg, not copper, and the water resistant cap is a joke.

You can use this little Blue Sea waterproof AGC inline fuse holder, if you like the glass fuses in cords, as the holders tend to be a touch less bulky. These have a good connection that the metal ends of the fuse slides into a tight metal sleeve, rather than just a spring-loaded connection to the tip of the fuse - better for high amperage. I trust Blue Sea more than most of the brands out there for low voltage electrical, and that locking cig-plug is impressive for a backwards compatible improvement on such a hokey connector!
