I look at my old posts on this and realize it's been a year since! It is amazing that I am still living in my van. In between that, I holed up at my folks for 5 months earlier this year (mostly to avoid the summer sizzle). Still, not having an apartment to pay on gave me money to lend to my folks to support us all while I was there. Even now, I am typing this from the back of my van. The sounds of the cars whizzing by are a comfort to me... sounds that are by now routine and regular. Anything out of the ordinary still startles me, but that is very rare where I'm holed up in.
Each night, I just sneak into my vehicle and sleep in my little cave.
I am thankful I found this site and many others. It's given me freedom to choose adventure and yeah, to eat out more (since I am not paying for an apartment).

It is with irony that I sometimes note that my coworkers (most of us are workaholics) mostly "live" at the office anyway and use their apartments to just sleep in. And their budgets are pretty bad... they are reduced to eating unhealthy cheap food.
Because of my savings, I get organic food, brown eggs you name it...

It's been such an exciting year. I am looking forward to my eventual upgrade soon to a taller and more spacious vehicle. I hope to bring a grill into my vehicle one day when I get one equipped with a fan.
