AmboRV - Ambulance to RV project (and book!)

Hello all,

I've been working on converting a (2010 4x4 F350 Type 1) ambulance into an overland RV. About 80% done (as of December 2021). At the same time, I've been writing a DYI manual to help others do the same.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to all the great builds and info I've found here. I'd be happy to answer any ambulance related questions and contribute to this community.

I’d like to know how long it is, where can you find one, is it Diesel, what trans, how many gears. Is there enough room to have a shower, a kitchen, toilet, a small table and a double bed. It’s just for one person and a small dog. I also want to know if you could buy a new one equipped with the the wiring and plumbing you need to build it for living in?

Could you tell me what the original countertops were made of? I recently acquired a 1999 F350 Wheeled Coach; I'd like to drop a sink into the existing countertop....which I've sealed and painted.
