Just signed up after discovering this. My wife and I have been living in our car for 6 months here in Chicago. Just landed a free apt in exchange for work and it includes free use of a garage. I will be buying a van soon to convert into a home for us. In the mean time, I will read and learn as much as I can from all these helpful posts. More to come!

Hi, we spent most of the time between the Cicero Ave/Fullerton Ave area & way out in Algonquin. A few other places but mostly those two.
