Hello everyone. this is my first post, im new to the site and im excited to have found it! My name is Nick, Im 21, from Florida and travel all over the Southeast for my job. I stay mostly at state parks but do go stealth occationally. when I bought my van I never thought I would have done this much to it, or that ide be living in it anywhere from 4 to 15+ nights at a time.

I bought it when I was 18 for 2700 and ive got about another grand into it with

1200W,400W and 200W power inverters.
custom built cabinent for my microwave, coffeepot, toaster over, and a space for my cooler
small dresser/tabletop.
CB radio
Multi color Underglow lighting.
12v fan,
flourecent lighting
120v and cable hookups.
rear mounted window shaker ac unit
roll down shade for the rear.
I just recently put in a DPDT switch so all of the outlets I installed can either be run from 120v plug in power or from my 1200W inverter
also I replaced the shades it came with with black out shades I got from the junkyard for $40
it came with a tv and I added a dvd player.
im using the regular fold down bed it camer with but added a 4 inch layer of cushion foam i got for free and then cut to size.

still working on an idea to shade the front driving area

if anyone has any ideas for improvements or questions please let me know.

i live in my van 20+ nights out of the month so I have no intentions of selling it but does anybody know what it might be worth? I feel like the conversions ive done would make it worth a lot more to the right person. its a 97 b2500 with a 318 and 160k miles. i paid 2700 with 101k miles

Your van looks great. Real clean.
Lots of tips, links, and how to here so jump in.

You asked for suggestions so here's one......... Find a swivel base for the passenger seat and it really opens up your floor plan.

Ask all the questions you like, someone will have the answer.

ide considered a swivel seat but there isn't enough clearance without relocating the base. and I don't host too many dinner partys so sitting on the bed works just fine for me =p. but thank you!

What do you do for a living out there? You sound like a fellow "sparky" throwing around a term like double pole, double throw switch.

I'm working on an apprenticeship with the IBEW to be a power lineman, and went to school for electrical wiring.
It all comes in handy lol
