If sternwake were here he would remind us that you only equalize after bringing the bank up to a full charge.

My converter is cheap and stupid. My charge controllers are not. The converter will stop trying to raise the voltage once it hits 13.6v but the solar will continue on to the absorption voltage anyways. Once that is done the controllers will drop down to float with the converter. There may be a conflict as to just what float should be since the controllers are temperature compensated and the converter isn't. With a three stage charger there may be a conflict as to what absorb voltage should be but that should not keep the batteries from charging.
