I learned about van life when I found Bob's videos.  I had never even heard of van life before.  Within two minutes, I knew without a doubt that it's the life for me; the freedom of my time and the simplicity.  Those are GOLD to me.  I choose van life knowing that it will be more expensive than the way I'm living now.

I've been a hermit for over a decade.  Selfishness plays into that.  The last thing I want to do is to open ANY social media accounts and display my life online.  And I definitely don't want to add to the bad reputation van life gets.  So, if I do create a channel, it's not going to be about me and my travels.  Naturally that will have to play into it, but I want to find a way to focus on others, finding ways to help wherever I go, even if it's just picking up trash in the park and leaving the place better than I found it.  Are there charity events or projects going on?  Count me in.  If I can figure out a way to legitimately make my channel inspiring or useful, without it turning into The Jack Show, then I'm going to suck it up and take advantage of the financial opportunities that social media offers.  If I can't.  I'd rather work at the sugar beet factory.

My only disclaimer to that is that I will be focusing on traveling and seeing the country for awhile first.  I'm a country kid that's been trapped in a big city for far longer than is natural.  When I leave, I need time for myself and will need to use that time to help grow my channel.

NF went over 50,000,000 views this morning. Since the one video of her 200+ that got her 50% of her total views, tami has put up 18 more videos about the End of RV Life. But back to low clicks. And she thought she had it cracked. Must be at least 2 messages here.

Nomadic Fanatic did a video where he was in Eureka, California. He parked right down the street from the soup kitchen, where all the lovely heroin addicts sleep on the streets, and posted about someone trying to steal his solar panels. Then he went to McDonald's where the heroin addicts hang out and filmed the cops there. He painted the whole town as crap. People here were conflicted and couldn't decide if he was an idiot who couldn't see the addicts lying in the street, or a drama queen who was looking for clicks. Either way, he provided a terrible video of a beautiful place and made it seem like skid-row. And, of course, the nonsense of no propane in Nevada. I lived off of highway 50 in Northern Nevada and he is full of something.....

Yeah, several other people mentioned NF as drama queen, but I saw those incidents as minimal. When he was in Reno he parked in a warehouse area and put one of his cameras outside 150' away in a field. Then a homeless woman came along and picked it up, and he jumped out and accused of her stealing. Silliness. (FWIW, I've traveled up and down the coast from San Diego to northern Oregon in the past several years, and stayed in both Eureka and Coos Bay and they were my 2 least favorite places .... by far. Will not stay there again).

OTOH, there must be something to NF's posts in order to get 50,000,000 views. I think it's way ahead of most RV-tubers. tami has 600,000 total views after 2 years and 220+ videos, so her message obviously sucks. A number of posts on this thread are from potential tubers, and if you're gonna bother, obviously look to how the "more" successful queenie channels do it.

I'm not a fan of Tami. At all. She thinks too highly of herself and thrives on negativity and hypocritically accuses others of not being 'real nomads' like her. She's not a nomad. She has her own home and only travels part-time. By definition alone, that's not a nomad. She's not content living the life her way and letting others live it their way. She has to attack.
