    Winslow Animal Control Shelter help

Forgot to mention: Veterans adopt for free according to one of the staffers. Right now there are 2 APB female pups up for adoption....black with some white markings. Their mother looked like an AmStaff and was adopted recently.

    Winslow Animal Control Shelter help

I started to try setting up an adoption last week and was happy to know they have a part time employee, Francisca, Fri and Sat.....maybe other days, that is knowledgeable and does a good job there with adoption/care. She informed me they are starting to negotiate transferring dogs so that's good...

    Winslow Animal Control Shelter help

If anyone plans to adopt a dog, please consider one from this place. This is a KILL shelter with what seems to be an overwhelmed staff reduced to complacent clock punchers with the lead officer having had received several complaints....prior to a few from me . I've called a couple no kill...

    Dogs in snake country

Get your dogs snake aversion training, don't let them run loose and don't feed outside unless you pick up all spilled food.....attracts rodents which attract snakes. Also be as concerned about Valley Fever and Foxtail grass.

Rest in Peace Remington and God Bless you

For those who have met my fine dogs Remington and Rango, it is with great sadness that I announce that my sweet and gentle Remington (Remy) a 9 1/2 yr old Boxer/Pit mix, was put to sleep this morning due to heart and lung cancer. It was a sudden/recent diagnosis. He was a very special and...

    Texas gulf coast for winter?

Thanks to all for the replies/info. Overall it looks like a great destination for nomads.....and folks who want to settle down. I read that the town of Haringen near Brownsville is the cheapest place to live in the USA. I love the ocean as much as the desert so I'm leaning hard in that...

    Texas gulf coast for winter?

Anyone spent a winter along the gulf coast, esp Padre Island/Corpus Christie area to near Brownsville.  There seems to be a lot of camping options along the island. Just thinking of options for this winter due to my not wanting to take any risks with my dogs and valley fever in the AZ desert...

Group purchase of land for RV community

DesertDweller I used to buy tax liens and sell acre and 5 acre lots in northern AZ...Mohave County, to be specific. Yes, there are a lot of parcels that are only one acre lots out here, they're everywhere. Some are as low as $99 down with low payments. However, if your'e a long term RVer, the...

Group purchase of land for RV community

I heard there are a few land owners willing to "rent to own" small portions (like from $150 per month) on up of land to individuals in parts of northern AZ (near Williams comes to mind). Not sure if it's true but I'm going to look into it. I'd like to establish residency here, get DL, tags and...
