I appreciate your suggestions
I have thought about that. I have changed my mind about shore power and want that option.
I have two 100 w panels now that I will install.
It seems to get more and more complicated.
What is the difference between these two type of controllers? Should I use a different controller?
(I am getting Renogy 2x100w Monocrystiline panels kit, comes with PWM Wonderer controller. I plan on adding two more panels in the next six months totaling 400w)
I agree with Chezcheese. I prettyuch started with a van, a couple of boxes of stuff, a few blankets and minimul amount of clothes. Now from that I have made list, and then lined out what was not a "need" and then prioritizing got the top item on the list, a mattress and wood to build a frame...
Congratulations. It's a good feeling once you get the van. Now a whole new set of ideas go in your head, how to do your build, van mids etc.
Again, congrats

I won't be adding anything until next year.
I will be useing two 6v 215 ah Duracell batteries to equal 12v 430amp hours.
So it sounds like I have more than enough batteries for up to 200w of panels. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks
Next time your around a cat person, ask to borrow their cat for the night and let it scent up your truck. The mice may smell it and leave real fast .
Good luck.
Ok, I am back with more questions.
I pretty much decided to go with Renogy Mono starter 200 watt kit. And at Batteries plus the Duracell 6v ultra pro w 225ah per the store managers recomedation and people on here.
For the 100 watt system I understand I only need a pair of 6v batteries. If I go...
I bought a handicap hightop van. If I had to do it again I would by a extended cargo van, no windows except maybe on the back doors.
My van is regular length, fiberglass hitop, and all windows. The hightop is old and brittle so adding anyting like a vent or solar panels will be stressful. The...
What is your favorite APP or top three apps that's related to this lifestyle. Or other website as well. We all know "cheapRVliving" is a given.
Please post a link if you can.
Thank you, I forgotten all about that post. I envy math people lol. Just never clicked with me in school. I can add and subtract great but use a calculator for anything else. And geometry is way beyond my brain.
Thank you.
That's why I love this forum and trible and all the people on here...
I wanted to get a van with NO windows and if the cave bothered me I would install a window or two. I ended up with a wheelchair passenger van with big windows. Only the side door window opens and one long window behind the driver. So for air it's pretty useless. For light it's great, if your in...
If I have the bed along the back, how deep would I have to make the mattress? 48" from back to front? I am no good in geometry. Say I am 6' and lay corner to corner, from back passenger corner to front driver corner.
Thanks
Jack, that Murphy desk hybrid is cool. Has me thinking now. Dang it, I thought I was all settled. But that is what's great about this forum, so many good ideas and suggestions.
