The real question is probably is it worth it
I lived in my van off and on since 1997 , I would usually do 3 or 4 months and then when the summer heat started I would be miserable and go get a apartment.
Honestly it takes a massive amount of time and effort because it comes down to comfort , and if you want to be comfortable year round be prepared to modify the hell out of your vehicle which takes a lot of time , and I mean ALOT OF TIME.
It takes so much time and opportunity costs .
So I've been doing this off and on for 18 years and the longest I've ever done it at one time is my current time of 10 months straight and thats only because I took some time off to modify my van some more . Before that my longest time was 4.5 months ad then the weather would take its toll.
So at this point I probably have the van with the most modifications and so very comfortable but it aint like you just go out and start vandwelling full time unless your ok with very hot humid weather and below zero weather or you live in a climate where its at least bearable.
