That Tim guy in the video has a lot right IMO. Big business does have control over our gov't. It's the root cause for everything he talks about.

Friction between 'settlers' and 'nomads' have been ongoing for at least 10,000 years; ever since a group of people decided to stop in one place and use agriculture as their primary source of food.  This is nothing new, the arguments of 'I should be able to go where I like and take whatever I find for my use' vs. 'I claim this spot for my exclusive use, have worked hard to produce what I need to survive, so you can't come and take it' have been ongoing for millennia.

The tide permanently turned against nomads with the advent of city-states ~ 5000 BC, with nomads being continually pushed into the less desirable areas.  As populations became larger and more affluent these areas became smaller and less desirable.  So history is against us, at least the weapons used (for now) are laws and not violence.

Politicians of any stripe are always looking for the easy way out and the fundamental drive of a bureaucracy is to increase its power and influence while keeping its workload easy.

George Carlin (God, rest his soul) was saying that for years. He was right way back when...
