Hi everyone!

So I'm going to be getting my van in about a week and I'm just wondering...

Where should I start?
I'm thinking insulating the van would be the logical first step, but maybe not?

So, what's the first thing I should be thinking about and focusing once I have my van?

Thanks!

READ! This forum and the sister sites and Bob's blog is the best place to start. Read everything and then start asking your questions.

Safety, sleep, potty, eating. Then, what ever makes you happy!

Do a safety check on the van.

There is 3 basic sleeping arrangements. Depending on your needs and body size which one you will want.

Potty - Get the 5 gal blackwater size and dump every day.

Eating goes from basic backpacking supplies to all out. Start with what you have.

Insulating your van will depend if you need to sleep in below freezing weather a lot. IT also takes up space.

Happy? Up to you, turn the passenger set around when you got a few.
Foam pads for the floor, not carpet. Some off gass way to much. Get the green coleman type for tents.

The best thing that you can do is study and take the van out for a few days and change, change and change some more.
