Linda aka Ravensroads has crossed over. If you've attended an RTR in the past you've probably met Linda and her husband. Linda was a brilliant human being whose passions included traveling, writing and history.

She'll be sorely missed by many people.

The following is a quote

  1. "These are the words of our mutual friend XXX XXXX who was in touch with Linda throughout her illness and was a great support to her, I don't think I can put it better so I will just quote her in response to the requests for information I have received following my RIP post to Linda.

  1. "This will be difficult for those of you that know Linda but did not know of her recent health struggles. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had to have her right foot amputated. She battl...ed infections as well as the cancer with everything she had...but I am sad to say that Linda lost her battle and passed away on Tuesday. She had asked me, if something were to happen, to pass the news along to our shared friends and acquaintances. This I do for Linda...though I would rather not have to share such information, at all. "I am sure we are both sorry if this is the way you are learning of Linda's illness and passing. Our deepest condolences to her friends and family."

My condolences. Her blog is one of the longest I've ever seen, back to 2002.

Sad to hear of her passing but glad she enjoyed life while she was here.

I'm very, very sorry to hear that; Linda was a truly great person. The only good thing in this is Linda didn't put off living, she lived every moment to its fullest and never delayed.

If the true measure of a well-lived life is the quality and quantity of your "Oh wow!" memories, few lives have been better lived than Linda's even as young as she was.

She will be missed.
Bob

I didn't know her but my deepest condolences go out to her family. I know it is impossible to describe the sorrow and so difficult to deal with the loss of someone close but I wish the best for them as they try to deal with the loss.
