A waterbed the size of a single bed weighs about 1,300 lbs. when full. And it would slosh around as you drive. Also, the water in waterbeds needs to be chemically treated to prevent alge, mold and other things. And in the case of a leak, you'd have 21 cubic feet of water to deal with.

Sorry, my humor detector was unplugged.

A hot tub would be better anyway.. chicks really dig them. Just don't drive to wildly and no sudden starts 'n stops. ..Willy.

You might have a look at these.. They are Military surplus 5 gal containers. Being they are GI they have to be fairly durable and look like they would be easy to carry & store.

http://store.colemans.com/cart/us-g...-p-2570.html?zenid=5tar6bnk9mf0066oofeuqna6k7

those military water cans are awesome real tough, even though I don't use one. the company that makes those used to sell fuel cans also, but the government got involved and you can no longer buy the fuel cans. it's to bad they where the best plastic fuel cans made imho. for water I have a 25 gallon rv tank and a 5 gallon insulated cooler. if i'm careful I can go 3 weeks without refilling without being so careful 2 weeks is no problem. on my trailer/toyhauler I am going to build am planning on around 100 gallons plus the 30 I have now, shooting for a month without resupply. ok I have gone off topic enough. highdesertranger

I use a reliance 7 gallon tank, and I fill it with vending machine filtered water. I get 10 to 14 days out of it, but I do not wash with that water, only for drinking/cooking. I use a Jabsco 12 volt pump with no accumulator to dispense it.

I have a separate hatch for this tank, and Lined the interior of it with reflectix to minimize temperature variations.

I'd call any RV places in the area and see if they have stock, or surplus RV tanks. Craigslist and junk yards that might have old RVs you can get scrap parts off of.

I've got 4 of the 5 gal. military water cans. They're great! Scepter is the company that makes them.

I've also got a stash of the "pre-ban" gas cans. :)

Google "CARB."

US passed a law (first passed in Califonia) that all gas cans had to have anti-vapor and anti-spill devices incorporated into them. Unfortunately, these new cans just suck as far as being able to pour quickly and efficiently, so there's a big demand for the old style cans.

Of course, the military still gets to use the old style cans.

right psytechguy, those new carb compliant nozzles really $uck. I spill more gas with some of those then I ever did with the old style. some of them are fragile and break real easy. right now I have 2 scepter's, and one of the old gi cans that is still useable. plus I have a 15 gallon tank on the trailer. david I hope you were joking, or should I ask haven't you notice that the government is outlawing everything, making everything illegal? if they want they can make anyone a lawbreaker. highdesertranger
