okay a new idea is just starting to take shape. would like to interview RV living folks and blog about them.

maybe our fearless leader Bob can advise on this. am not a reporter, and am not a blogger. but find the folks living the gypsy wandering lifestyle to be extremely interesting.

everyone from the full on lone wolf who shoots first and doesnt like trespassers, to the social camp grounder who has all the relatives visiting constantly with ten grandkids at a time. all have interesting stories to share.

hope to help people change for the better via these stories and discussions. maybe even change myself too.

of course only use fake names to protect the innocent, for those who want that.

RTRs would be a good place to knock off several interviews. Perhaps arrange a couple of smaller get togethers just for that purpose. A couple of short videos, with the interviewee's permission, would add to the interest.

Would beat travelling all around meeting one at a time. Just space out the interviews over time.

+1 for videos, everyone wants to see them now-a-days. Great Idea!

rubber tramp rondevou. yearly meeting camp over where people discuss the lifestyle.

Where are you? In the winter we tend to gather in the desert Southwest and it would be easy to find a bunch of us in a small area. There are 6 of us right now near Blythe, CA. And I know another 6-8 are down by Yuma about 90 miles south of here. Of course there were a LOT of us at the RTR, somewhere between 60-90. But in the summer, we scatter in the wind, we are rarely together in one spot.

I'm not sure a blog would be the ideal format. A blog needs constant posts. So an average blog should have about 100 posts a year. Some do more, some do less. If you do much less, people will loose interest and stop following you.

That's a lot of interviews, I'm not sure you can keep that up. A website might be a better idea because they are static. You just add to them as you can.

But I think it is a good idea. If I had the time, I would do it myself, but no way can I take on another project. I have many contacts and can put you together with people if you want to get started. I also think videos are a good idea to supplement the text.
Bob

looks like the wheel has been invented. the folks of technomadia.com are already doing interviews on video and posting the superior results. they are good with the video editing software, you cant deny that.

And...

Just do your own thing, there are other sites that do interviews as well. Everyone has their own voice and their own way of doing things, some like them, some do not.

Give it a whirl and just do it!

Yes, definitely do it! I would love to see anotyher spin on it. Everyone's interview style is different, as are their choice in topics and interviewees. Make your own niche.
