If you see a vent about 4" in dia. on the side somewhere, that should be the vent for the battery. Or if you see a 2" plastic vent tube sticking thru the floor, that's the vent/drain.
Well seems like i have a plastic vent on drivers side where the couch is,,guess i need to see if the couch tilts up some how cause the little door under couch is very hard to get to but i bet ur right!!!! nothing else there that needs vented!!!,,,damn i think I'm gonna have to go out in the rain and go see!,,its killin me to know now!!,,lol,,hope ur right! !

Well i got to say ur the man!!!,, its was hidden behind a blk plastic bag of some stuff the last owner had left in there,,sure enough big ole battery in plastic box,,i had looked in there the other day but didn't think there was enough room behind it for one!!,,well when i found that solenoid under hood i knew there had to b one or was one!!,,thx so much,,now i can move forward!!,,woohoo!

Since it's not an extended van, I guess there's not enough room at the back for a battery. The black tank has to be up top because there's not enough room for it below, behind the gas tank.

Under the couch puts the battery closer to the alternator anyway, so the wire to it is shorter and that's good. Is the fresh water tank under the couch also?

man, I am excited for you! That looks like a nice class B van! And it's all build up, too! Very nice! We are all in this together... this transition to van living. I have been quiet lately because work just picked up. But hope to get moved into my van by end of Sept.. Good luck, Monsieur!

Helo Lonerglide, thanks for sharing! Man, that looks like a built up sweet ride! Good luck with the modifications!

Don't know how I missed this thread - what you have looks like an earlier version of mine, although mine's on a Ford chassis: called either an Intervec or a Horizon or a Phoenix. They put some on a Dodge chassis as well but the floor plan is the same. Made in Elkhart Indiana. The factory went out of business in the mid 90s but a bunch of former employees maintain a club. They are online and might be a good resource.

If you're still looking for the location of the house battery, look under the sofa towards the front of the rig, That's probably where it should be.

Edit: oops. I see you found it...

Any other questions give me a holler
