Excellent rig gliderider....you made a real score (not to mention how busy you must have been for a couple weeks, scrambling to get it together to buy the rig)....the front end should be a piece of cake and as long as it is done right, you will know you have a nice, tight steering gear with a good wear pattern on you tires....

The rig looks like a winner to me...the interior is sweet!

It looks like a nice compromise for interior height without the added wind resistance of another few inches outside.

Seems like the universe is unfolding nicely for you.

Have fun....
Bri

Thx Bri!! yes i got lucky to find it! being that i wasnt even looking to buy anything and then bein able to come up with the funds was another miracle in its self, the frond end wont b hard for me and yes the interior is sweet,,,the last owner even left all his cookware and fishing poles in there,,both things i needed so I'm counting my blessings,,now i need to come up with one of those Honda generators an awning and a cargo trailer an ill b on my way to the gulf for the winter!!,, woohoo!!

Sooooooooooooooo happy for you, LG!!! Don't cha love it when a plan comes together???

Hi cyndi!,,and thx but dont b sooooooo glad just yet!,,,lol! just finally got to plug it up an try everything out and although air cond looks brand new it doesnt cool!, i took the cover off inside and there isnt even a hint of dust, dirt in filter or anywhere on air unit so hopefully it wont cost much to get it charged,,, i guess worse case i can pull unit out of my MH.
its not like all other rv's ive seen as the 12v lighting doesnt work unless u plug into shore power,,strange!!
most have afew 12v lights thats work off battery but not mine!,,oh no! not that easy!,,lol!,,even the in dash radio only works if plugged in,,lmao!
So now i gotta figure out how to add house battery, inverter etc and where to tie into system to do this,,geezzzz!,,fairly good with wiring but having never done it before not sure where to start,,hopefully can get some help from readers on here!,,wish me luck,, gonna need it to get everything done before winter!,,HA!!
Nice score LG! Have you checked under the tub for a house battery? And check under the fridge to see if you have a converter. You may just have a blown fuse or maybe something was disconnected feeding the 12v lights.

Hey slowday!,, yes ive checked everywhere for house battery,,none!,, no way under tub unless i remove side board under it and dont figure it b there,,i also checked fuses,,all good!,, what gets me is system has 11o to 12v converter with battery charger built in,,,if i have to plug in shore power to have 12v power why is there a bat charger for only one bat that gets charged with alt when engine is running?,, this is the only rv/camper ive ever seen that u have to plug in for 12v power!! fuse/breaker box has 5 fuses for 12v an 1,,20amp breaker for roof ac,, i know somebody has been into it cause u have to plug in 110 power to get power to dash radio and i know thats not normal

They probably wired it so they could run the dash radio all day with no drain on the starting battery. Does that year van have an ECM? I'd be leery of damaging that if it does. It must have had a house battery originally since it has the converter.
Any tags or decals to ID the company that did the conversion? It's very similiar to a Falcon by Intertec.
ECM???,, maybe! but most rvs have a cubby hole for second bat an only place i see to even put one would b in very small door under stove top,,just barely big enough for very small bat!

Not sure what GM calls them...engine computer for fuel injected engines. ECU (electronic control unit), PCM (power control module),etc.
Lonerglide.....did you open both rear doors and look back there? Another possible is a hatch in the deck opening to a battery compartment...it could be anywhere under the deck so I think I would lie down scootch under in several places and look for a box that might fit a battery....

I am guessing you looked well under the hood, I have had a couple rigs with an additional battery there...
Bri

, oh ok!,, yeah im not sure if its FI or not,,it probably is,, not worried bout radio right now but im wanting to get some solar going down the road with another battery an inverter but puzzled with system like it is where to connect house battery into system,,have closet next to ele area so could put bat box in bottom of closet an exhaust it outside very easy,,
B4 i bought this camper van i was going to buy another van an build everything from ground up an was sure the wiring would b easy but with trying to add on to this system not sure where to start,,lol,, feeling alittle challenged right now!!!

well for some reason the back doors wont open,,geezzz yet another thing to fix but it has a potty that sits on a holding tank along with gray water tank for tub so i dont think there is enough room for battery there an i have been under van to look for bat cables or anything that might give a clue as to where one might b hiding!!,,oh and yes under hood too!

You'll find one under the tub when you get the doors to open. Or a place for one at least.

Well ill work on getting doors open but stool an end of tub are sitting on holding tank hat runs from right side of stool to under tun an its only about 6.5in tall so there isnt room fot a bat in there an looked under van under stool and tanks r totally inside of van so there isnt enough room,,,,,BUT just to make sure i will work on doors to make double sure!!

On another note,, i did go look under hood to double check for second bat an i found a solinoid,,loks like an old ford solinoid the is connected to bat and has a self setting relay,,maybe 20 or 2o amp,,and am thinking that its one of those solinoids for disconnecting the main bat from the house bat when motor is off so u dont run down main bat as u use 12v power inside an when u start motor it connects both for charging both batteries,,so thats kinda tells me there was/is a house bat!!,, and with dash radio hooked up like it is,,,somebody has had discharged bat problems at sometime!,,i think??,,lol!

Hey,
The ad says there is a generator that is used when not plugged in to 110v power. Maybe yours is missing that generator.
If you see a vent about 4" in dia. on the side somewhere, that should be the vent for the battery. Or if you see a 2" plastic vent tube sticking thru the floor, that's the vent/drain.
