Walmart water buckets...

We bought a couple of those 5 or 6 gallon, grey colored water buckets or "cans"...

Of course we are going to rinse them out to remove any "extra" gunk within,

But...

What other procedures should we do before actual use of them?

Of disinfect, what is the best method? Hot water, bleach, etc???

How should they be stored between trips or useages? Drained of course, but anything further???

Ideas, thoughts, well wishes, etc?

I use hot water and bleach initially, vinegar and water rinses after that.
Mine is rarely empty for long.....

yep I would do as Karl suggested. I don't use hot water though, just regular temp water. highdesertranger
