They build school bus homes for families. I wondered if the HOWA folks were familiar with them; they might be a great resource since they've been doing this for a while. They have an application process, and the family lives in the bus for 1 year as a tenant (no rent exchanged, but it's considered a tenancy) and then at the end of the year, if they like bus life, they work out a plan to purchase the vehicle over time at a rate they can afford. Sounds pretty interesting.
