2012 BRAND NEW travel trailer for under $5000. Not a typo! No connection to the company, just thought it was neat, and so many are driving a smaller car/truck/suv for better mileage.

Was there supposed to be a link too?

This is far from a travel trailer, it is a tear drop... $5000.00 for a closet to live in is a little steep to me... But if not full timing it, and it is used as a vacation trailer I can see that...

Also 5 grand can go along way in buying and building out a sweet van...

Soulraven, you can't stand up in a teardrop, or sleep 4 for that matter,( ok I know 4 could FIT, but I doubt sleeping has anything to do with it) . Four or five years ago, I was looking at the CHEAPEST HARDSIDED travel trailer I I could find, I think it was a sportsman's Classic, 12', all electric. It was $8999 on sale. I've since then researched some other mini or micro campers, including teardrops. $5k for brand new is a good price, not that I'll be giving up my 69 Shasta 1400 any time soon.

I like it --- but ---

A little pricey - and I wouldnt want to tow in in a nice cross wind --

I just looked at the site --

I spy with my myopic - yet - skeptical eye --

Nice description -- no construction build photos - even if doctored ?

Nice Jeep towing one away -- owners red Jeep or his wife's parked in their yard ?

This isn't a teardrop. It's called a 'standie' and is part of the 'teardrops and tiny travel trailers' group.

There are a couple of construction designs for standies, including this one, on the tnttt.com forum design page. This trailer is the first design, called the Wanderer. You can build it on a HF trailer. You can probably build it for about 1/5 of the selling price. If you go to the Gallery, you can see other tiny trailers and cargo trailer conversions.

These are light, homebuilt trailers for the teardrop crowd who are getting older and need to be able to stand up or camp in colder weather when they can't get outside as much.
