@DoneDirt: It's Nazis' with the apostrophe at the end, denoting ownership of the noun. And it's S.T.F.U. since it is an abbreviation. (haha, don't get angerfaced cuz eye is jus kiddin)

Actually it's neither. Merely the plural form of Nazis indicating more than one. No apostrophe should be used.

@compass: a) the sentence implied ownership of the policy attributed to the nazi party, not a plurality of members of the party as you have implied, so you are in error, and this, especially, having so many dang commas, is definitely an insanely huge, annoying, and completely stupid run on sentence but your interpretation is also valid as he was in a sense referring to multiple grammar nazi's such as urself. b) did eye spellz cuz correctly? c) stfu is one of those sayings, abbreviations that totally annoys me, since cuz like, they are harshing my mello and stamping out my 1st amendment rights, rather than just refuting my argument. Most importantly though, I think you missed the sarcasm and complete humor of my post which was never to be taken seriously but let me refrase they're sentence in pwoper form. (I'm driving spell/grammar check crazy btw), and d) I never meant to subscribe to this thread and actually here responses from hear (see what I did there?).

To the grammar nazi's and their use of the nazis' policies in policing the internet.....

Came back to edit as something was censored in my post while I said nothing offensive, but editing I have know clue witch word it tuk out and donut reelly care anywho. >.> (again j/k don't get angers....)

Not a problem bud. Not a problem but you did get me to ponder it for awhile. I have spelled things wrong before and will continue to do so. I and others that I have talked with have actually become better spellers after starting to use the internet and forums. I guess I was never a good student through school and had more of an interest in girls, cars and other mechanical things.
I suppose its one of the great things about our systems is that a person can not do real well in school and yet work hard and achieve a great deal.

In fact I have been able to:
Help get 4 kids through college all with $100,000 per year jobs (yes I was smart enough to listen when they said we will be a service economy and didn't want my kids in it) AND never hand your kids everything!!! Make them work, work, work. I can piss away my own money, show me what YOU are doing and I will help

A net worth that lets me net $30,000 per year off my investments and
the time to manage those investments. (No time for "Spelling for dummies" for this guy.)

Own two houses, one on a lake, both paid for
New truck, paid cash
Two RV's, cash
Two motorcycles, cash
Boat, cash
Off road truck, cash
Car, paid for
4- tv's 60" led 52" led 50"lcd 40" led
2- 24' baby led in camper lol
Maintain a million dollar insurance policy so the wife and kids have a little extra if I croak. Lol

And last but not least and in fact the thing in my life that I was just plain old lucky to get.........MY WIFE......too much good to list here. All I know is that I'm extremely lucky.

Now is that a great country or what!!!!!!

I have to admit that I often sit back and chuckle about it at times because it is a wonderful situation to be in. Well, good luck to you with your park project and I hope many will enjoy your generosity. That looks like an beautiful part of the country to be in.

Author of one of the greatest document in western history, Thomas Jefferson, once said "..... never trust a man who has only one way to spell a word."

Hey!
Lets all list our belongings.

Or would that be gratuitous?

Feel free if you like but as stated just some perspective. If you invest, all methods, ideas and strategy are highly appreciated. Thanks Mac

I completely concur that the best things in life are loving relationships. For me, that's my hubby John.

One of the many ways John and I differ is the value we place on stuff. Where John likes to accumulate toys, I'm actively simplifying and downsizing my stuff.

Where as he, like DoneDirtCheap, would proudly list his possessions as examples of success, I'm happily selling-off and giving away my "treasures" even though I would be considered financially successful. I'm finding contentment in letting go of the maintenance time, concern about, and safe keeping of my physical possessions.

But, for all of our differences, I value and proudly list my relationship with John as my most treasured life asset. And I know that maintaining and safe-keeping our marriage will bring me more happiness than any physical possession or activity ever could.

Just another perspective to what it means to be financially successful.

I'll give you .50 for the marbles. You pay shipping. Thread didn't go far but it certainly touches on similar territory as Bob and others have talked about. In the end google will get the zoning changed in Mountain view and people will not be spending that money in SFS. Investment idea.......buy land around Mountain View and buddy up with the town council members.

I think it was just an excuse for someone to post a financial 'we are all going to die' type thread. I don't think there is a point really. This was just an off-off-omg off- topic post that a couple of smart alecs (myself especially) jumped on and poked fun about. If you figure out the point of this thread, please god, don't bother to let me know.

Lol. Did you read the link? I'll explain it for you. Google is in Mountain view and buses employees from and to San Fransisco. They do this because they felt it would relieve traffic congestion, parking congestion, save employees money, have less environmental impact overall, let employees do part of their work while on the bus etc. The google employees need housing so its driving rent and housing prices up.
People in San Fransisco protested against the buses using public infrastructure. So perhaps, in short it relates to van/rv dwelling in regards to less environmental impact, the destruction of the middle class, class warfare, alternative housing (like in vans where some of those evicted may end up living) etc. If you read some of Bob's blogs you will notice some similarities to the things he writes about, especially environmental impact. You know who Bob is, right?

My marbles are priceless sorry, they are one of my few geocache treaures
