Must be the off gassing fumes ?

Baltic Birch ,,,, cabinet grade .
Should look really nice.
I have used a ton of it building kitchens and speakers. What does it cost these days??

That's what I guessed.!
Used to pay that for 3/4"

1 quart of thompson's water seal was enough for 2 basic coats in the center and 2 dump it outs on the outside, under the water tank and the area behind the old fridge where there is wood discoloration from past leaks, after 2 days it's still tacky so i wouldn't recommend it for a stand alone finish, thin milky liquid that dryed clear,no fumes

gave it a good warshing, didn't hold back only leaks was the vent for the stove hood from the water hose and the large window has a 2 piece frame and at the seam in the center it was dripping so the next time o have a tube of goo in my hands i will caulk it up

i'm good to go to put walls in,wish me luck with these puzzle pieces i need to make

Go get a couple of refrigerator boxes , etc. and make templates.
Only cut the birch once.

sometimes you just got to eat it
it's the placement of the widows
started out with cardboard, jacked it up by 1/2" tossed
then cardboard but used some large paper to get an imprint of the window and transferred to cardboard, close but not perfect
then i tried chalk on the window frame, just fell off
so axle grease on the frame press ply wood and got a smudgy outline, not good enough
so back to the close cardboard and make it a little small and work it into shape
went o.k.,but on upper corner the jigsaw got away from me and the corner has a fat 1/4 gap where everything else is 1/16-1/8 and it's right in your face and working it in with a jigsaw left wavy lines so first piece becomes a good template for both fronts, not sure if i can flip it for the rear of the windows and make doors, shelving or whatnot out of it

sure i could block sand the lines straight but cant add wood to the corner and it would haunt me

It's like a window into your mind.

I think  a shrink would say, "Unbalanced in a cheerful, hopeful way; ain't right, but he'll be fine."

Maybe post a pic next time. My mind tends to wander.

looks nice with poly on it but say wait 48 hours between coats and dont use above 90

i dont want to wait 48 hours and the forecast says 92,99,107,108,94

Close enough for a van down by the river !

Get some 1x2 wood ...maybe walnut ,,,no redwood , yeah redwood and make a picture frame for openings and along seams.

the curtains will cover it up i'm just be my usual anal self

aim for perfection and get good enough, aim for good enough and get crap

no two measurements are the same, nothing is square, those corners have been a real pain

Well, if it makes your suffering any sweeter, it looks pretty tidy around that window. Nice job.

if chinook wouldnt of use fiberglass resin to attach the plywood i could of tore it out and just of gone behind the window frame like the rest of the world but on the good side it gave me more space for insulation, the curtains will cover it up anyways

Too hot, Too cold... what ever happened to Git-R-Done??

Looking good though! :)

Wow... Love your Chinook, Gary. Had a 1978 mopar version for allot of years. Also did the complete gut job, I feel your pain. Best RV ever. Well, the 7mpg 440 kinda sucked but other than that....

Thanks for reposting all the photos, missed the originals.
