I had T-Mobile several years back but coverage outside of urban areas was poor. Has it gotten any better? Anyone even use it?

I saw this post where T-Mobile shared their "projected end of 2017" coverage map
http://www.tmonews.com/2017/02/t-mobile-projected-coverage-map-end-2017/

I like the T-Mobile One plan for $70 incl. taxes/fees with auto pay
  • 28GB of 4G then unlimited network managed
  • 10GB of 4G tethering then unlimited 3G (+$25/mo for all 4G)

That seems to beat the $80+taxes/fees plan from Verizon with 22GB of 4G

I'm going to be in urban areas for the next 6-8 months before going back to rural areas. I was thinking of trying it out. I guess it's easy enough to switch back to Verizon later in the year if I find it's not working for me.

I used to carry a T-mobile phone as my main line. Then about 3 yrs ago I moved to this tiny rural town about an hour east of Dallas where there was no TMO at all. I switched to an AT&T MVNO.

I just fired up my old TMO phone to check and now I have 2 bars. So, yes, I would say it's gotten better.

I've had TMO for 6 years and it's definitely expanded and improved coverage. It's as good as Verizon in areas, but still not as good as Verizon. Best to get where you're going and check...easy enough to get a cheap phone and plan to see.
