Starting Model 2.0 - PIC HEAVY

I've been on this website for a while watching with great envy the beautiful lives that people here live. I, unfortunately, can't venture out into complete van life due to an eye disease. I'm going to eventually lose my eyesight. My conversion if for camping in the mountains in Colorado and the canyons in Utah. Maybe some cross country road trips too! 

Anyway, the 2 first pics are from the day I bought my van. 

The next two are a just some cabinets I put in the original interior.

After camping for an entire year (weekends only) I've figured out that I hate folding my bed away everyday. I have a dog and can't stand him in the bed after we go hiking. I came up with a solution (at least for me) Here are is a drawing of the new layout I came up with. I also show a couple with the bed up, middle of folding, and all the way down

Thanks, I just used 2 x 2 boards to make sure my idea would work. I'm going to replace the 2x2's with maybe 2x3's for my bed frame. I will make the bed level with the bench after I get the right wood installed. I like the fact that I have a 2'-6" walkway through the entire van.

Thanks everyone. I plan on posting more pictures as I go along. I've got a friend coming into town this weekend so I won't be working on it even though the weather here in Denver is perfect right now
