Spare tire on door?

Just some random thoughts, I could extend the mounting bolts 4 inches. Different stress factors involved.&nbsp; I could do that in the future. I could also use the space for something else.<br><br>James AKA Lynx

&nbsp;If the tire isn't snugged up against the front grill there shouldn't be any problems with cooling. I've never noticed any difference and I've had the same tire carrier on different trucks. ..Willy.
