SOUND TREATMENT, or deadening, is perhaps the biggest MYTH in van conversion, perpetuated by the relentless flow of builds broadcast across social media. For those starting a normal build, here's why sound treatment may NOT be required, beyond doing the conversion to make it into a livable space.

 
Yea, I smile when I read someone just spent $$ and time because they are convinced they need to quiet down that noise before insulation and finished inteior surface.
And then the end product has all sorts of stuff rattling around in the back when they drive down the road.
But hey, maybe it's mandatory and I'm the odd one out.
