Our little camp of 3 of us from the forum is growing this morning as the eclipse will begin in less than 2 hours here in Dubois, ID.  It's starting to feel like an event with all the lawn chairs and cameras around.  So far we have 6 additional vehicles and I suspect more will be showing up.  Lots of room ... Wish you were here.

I just laid my white tarp on the ground in hopes of catching some shadow snakes.

I am centerline in Lexington SC.  Clouds moving in so could go either way.

It is hot here.  Was late before cooled down last night and gave all my fans a workout.

Lights on the buildings came on, very dark in the house. My pictures aren't impressive, but I saw up to a crescent of the sun. 92% totality.

Got to 1/3 coverage then the clouds rolled in and it started to rain.  Can't see the sun anymore.  I'm in an 85% area (Southern Minnesota).

The clouds thinned just enough for us to see the very tail end of totality or the 90% that we could see. Thanks to Dave for catching it as the rest of us were too busy complaining about the clouds to notice.

Ahh man, i'm a little bummed I didn't take a few day trip south to see it. Could have just hopped in the truck and moteled it for a few days down and back. Guess I'll catch the next one in 2024 that will be visible in the Northeast.

The sky totally cleared here.  Was amazing.  Several bats started flying around.  Saw the diamonds on both sides.  Looked for bands but did not see any.

Was very cool here. I was set up in a parking lot with Gotsmart and a friend, Cathy who flew in from Florida.
Couldn't get pics of the eclipse but I got Gotsmart and Cathy
