We must have different definitions for friend and relationship, because I have individual platonic relationships with each of my friends

Hmmm, as most people do, I used relationship for a friendship that also has romantic involvement, however, English is not very exact. We could get philosophical here, but I'll just say I see three "classes": non-romantic friendships, romantic friendships, and people who are involved but don't like each other. I usually call the first friendships, the second relationships, and the third asking for trouble, but that's just my pov...

A relationship on the road... wow... wow... love it, yes, hate it yes... Man what a heavy concept... Me I am a widowed 49 Y/O male and just can not grasp the seriousness of this... Man to mix all the crap I am to deal with, with a relationship... wow, unreal... But at the same time to love and live again would be sooo good for the soul... To be held again, loved and soothed on the dark days would make me oh so happy, but the counter is that what ever happened happened, I lost and sure dont wanna bring another down with me...
My wife and I spent the first winter together living out of my van and traveling from Alaska down the west coast to LA and back up to Alaska. The last half of the trip we had picked up her little Toyota truck with camper stuffed full of her gear so we each had the day of driving alone in our respective vehicles. We did have CB radios so we could chat when we wanted to.
Once we returned to Alaska we dug our way through the snow to my bus and spent a couple months of well below zero winter in it .
We figured if the relationship could weather that (no pun intended) and still feel right, we could stay together.
We are still happily married after 26 years although her line of work gives us tons of time to ourselves...she lives in a neighboring state at the moment.
Time will tell but we have been living apart for going on three years now and spending about a quarter of our time together.
A little challenging but when we are together it is pretty cool and a lot of fun.
Hugs,
Bri

You put each other first and you can't go wrong. LOL! That was a funny day! Forgot about that blog post

Sometimes I really miss having a man in the house. Being single has its pitfalls. There are things I just don't want to do for myself if you know what I mean. Like getting this big freaking wolf spider out of my bathtub! Its the size of a distributor cap. I tried to rinse it down the drain but it came back out again. I know I won't sleep tonight. I really need a man.
Dragonfly
Its not that I don't appreciate what the wolf spiders do. I never kill a spider outside. I have an older house that is very hard to secure. I have mouse traps set everywhere too. This is just wolf spider and mouse season here in the Miami Valley. I was traumatized frequently as a child regarding wolf spiders and you would think I would grow up and get over it.
Dragonfly
I always relocate the spiders from our living area. Heidi says it is part of the marriage contract LOL! Catch and release is worth doing, spiders are cool critters, just don't need them right inside with us of course.

Thanks Cindi. Sorry Mike and Heidi, its little soul did not leave this earth of natural causes. On the other hand, the big black and yellow spider that lives outside made a huge egg sack. A girlfriend is coming over today to put the eggsack across the street in the woods for me. I have a big imagination where spiders are concerned and become very irrational .
Dragonfly
Yay a benefit to 6 cats living in the van with me. I won't have to kill the bugs!
Just an interesting tidbit I heard last year...

Apparently, the average person will unknowingly end up eating an average of 8 spiders over their lifetime while they are asleep. I guess they sneak into your mouth while you are unaware....

Pleasant dreams! LOL!

Mike, I would like to know where those statistics come from. Not that I think they're wrong just where the hell did they get them???

It was something my mom told us last year. I am not sure where she got them but she is usually a fairly reliable source of info. Then again, she might have been trying to creep Heidi out! LOL! That would be something she would do as well. Needless to say, the apple didn't fall far from the tree...

Might be worth a bit of research and confirmation if it helps ya sleep any better.
