So the 2020 Runaway CoolCamp only weighs 580 lbs and they state that they have several customers who tow with an HRV. This may be an option for me. I’d only use it for sleeping and a place to retreat when bad weather shows up. I’ll have a screen room outside for more living space.

That's still heavy for something that small, especially when you consider that the self-build Slidavan is 5x8 and has 6 foot of headroom when set up yet it only weighs approximately 600 pounds!

In its towing mode (roof section lowered) it's approximately 5 feet high.

Also, the Runaway seems expensive for what you get.

That apart, the only opinion that matters is yours.
