Route from Utah to Great Basin National Park?

I am planning to drive from central Utah to Great Basin National Park in Nevada.

In terms of choosing a route, which road through Utah is recommended, Rte 21 via Milford or Rte 6/50 via Delta?

My criteria for choosing a route are scenic landscapes, historic stopping points, road conditions and boondocking options.

Advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Either way the scenery isn't much different once you head west of the I-15 corridor.

There's a Great Basin Museum in Delta, also the Topaz War Relocation Center (WWII Japanese internment camp).

And depending where in central UT you are there are various routes to I-15. For example, 153 from Junction to Beaver is a lot more interesting than I-70.
