It's been raining here for days and I have discovered that my fiberglass roof is leaking in at least 6 places from the front to the back of the van. My head liner is ruined and now I will have to remove it and give myself and extra 6 inches of head room. It's sooooo terrible. And of course 3 of them are over my bed. I always wanted a waterbed, but since on of the leaks lands on my head I no longer approve of Chinese Water Torture but understand it's affectiveness. It makes me soooooo annoyed.

Any suggestions on a means of repairing this?

Try to get hold of some Eternabond tape. It is expressly for the problems you are having. It goes on easy and will NOT come off.

Camping world has it but they want too much $$. Try looking at a roofing supply outlet.

I have taped over all the seams on my motorhome and truck camper. No more leaks.

Good Luck and Happy Trails!!

Take a look at epdm coatings specifically made for Rv and mobile homes-https://secure.websolhost.net/@liquid-roof/ssl/order/

A more economical, but less durable coating for Mobile homes can be found at building supply and farm stores- it is latex based and white, I think the name is Kool- seal or something similar

avoid any tar based roof coatings as they will soften in the sun and run, as well as being a bear to put on.

If there are obvious cracks a fiber mesh can be laid into the coating to bridge them, most likely the FG has degraded from UV's and has a bazzillion tiny cracks- a coating will protect and seal them.

Good luck, I hate soggy sheets too!

Yea..what Karl said. I built my cabover for my truck with used plywood for some of the roof and sides. It leaked. I found the rubber paint for about $36 here in Alaska so it's probably cheaper by you. One gallon painted 2 coats on an approx 6x10 roof and no more leaks. I actually used the primer only which was gray or off-white while the paint was brilliant white. The point is, it works and its actually designed more for fiberglass or metal campers. You can't go wrong and its easy....Cheers to no more soggy sleeping bags!!!
Rae

Whatever you use, get the seam/joint dried really well first or your repairs might not adhere properly. If it's still raining, that means getting under cover.
