My van has rear heater/AC and I think I want to move it. Then either get a window AC or a portable room ac and then a heater.

Pro's and cons of taking it out.
How to take it out. (It's still behind factory walls)

Other options??

Thanks
Jackson

you can't just remove the AC as the front and rear are tied together. there are some threads on here on how to do it. basically you must,

remove the Freon.
replace the hose for the front AC
remove the rear AC and hoses
recharge the front AC

the heater is the same process only much easier

i have cut rear ac lines on the metal hard line part close to where the split off from the main lines crimped them over and then brazed them before with no issues. system would need to be drained and re charged either way though.
