I have the 10 gig Cricket plan with hotspot for $65 a month. Once you hit 10 gigs it drops down to 2G speeds/ 128 kb until the plan rolls over. Mine rolls over tonight and I was close to the limit so I streamed netflix until it crossed the limit.

It continued streaming for about 15 minutes and then just stopped. I tried to run a speed test and can tell you that downloads dropped from 8 Mbps to .1 Mbps. It won't stream video but it will stream music and web pages like this load just fine. Picture heavy sites take longer like ebay.

So except for streaming videos it is unlimited for 99% of my usage.

That's a great plan considering the coverage you get. I just wish it allowed for hotspot use. That's why I am still on the 10 gig plan.

I'm just glad to know that it is still usable for most things once it hits the limits.

How does the hotspot part work? Access where it's available? Does it count towards hour data?

Like with AT&T's unlimited plan, no hotspot usage is allowed at all. On the 10 gig plan all of it can go through the hotspot. I am using the hotspot while on 2G.
