NEWSFLASH to Citizens in all Cities, Towns and Rural Areas: Vans, campers and RV's are physical vehicles that must park somewhere each and every night and cannot magically disappear on command at night time. These real and physical items must occupy space somewhere since they already exist. Additionally, people who own them pay taxes and registration fees just as you do with regular automotive vehicles. Based on these facts, it is being suggested that anyone complaining about them quickly get over themselves and learn to be more tolerant and inclusive. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Ok, so I wrote this tongue-in-cheek but sometimes, just finding a place to park can be so frustrating. Doesn't seem fair sometimes.

With all due respect, we don’t have an inalienable right to park wherever we like in any town or city.

If you also have a sticks & bricks, many of us have to purchase storage spaces because we are not allowed to keep our rigs in our driveway or on our property, except perhaps April 1-November 1, which is the case where I live.

When traveling, it takes a bit of effort to find a non-prohibited place to park at night, and I always liked to find something other than a rented campsite when weather did not require electricity.

But if you are living in your vehicle or otherwise long term in one particular community that is much more challenging, and homeowners as well as business owners not wanting particularly rundown vehicles taking up residence in front of their homes or place of business is not being selfish nor inconsiderate.

IMHO.

Many communities with large numbers of folks in vehicles of whatever kind are setting up overnight lots.

It’s a co-existence, and overnighting in a town isn’t impossible, my practice was to keep my area neat and clean, and move on early in the morning.
