For those with some minor mobility issues (having no problem accessing a Mazda CX5), would the sliding door on the Promaster be an easier access point than the higher step up required via the passenger door? This assumes a full length running board.

Looks like a much higher step into the cab area than into the cargo area. Good point about handle access inside sliding door, too

@Gfmucci Oops, my van was still on the leveling blocks, raising the front by 3". I took it off the blocks and did it right:
