If you enjoy building projects I've got one. I love to create things and would like any input you might have. I want, no need to create a bar stool height chair that is very light weight and portable. Why you ask? I am face painter and will need something for clients to sit on and I will need to be able to pick it up and go to the next job. I will need a table/workstation later on but first the chair. I have been looking into alternative building materials like cardboard for a while when I came across a guy building out of foamboard.
After coming across the cabinet building by ViaVacavi I was inspired to use his reinforced foam techniques on other projects. If you haven't seen his work here are some links: p.s. this link is life changing.

Intothemystery13 also has a few videos on YouTube of it too.
If your like me and a visual learner you will like these videos best. I'm dyslexic and have a brain injury, I cannot always follow verbal commands, so I'm just letting you know sometimes I don't understand written words, it's difficult for me, so I might appear dumb. Dr.s are trying to figure out what is going on there in my brain I wasn't always like this.
As a facepainter I need a tall bar stool height (30 inches or 75cm) chair so that I am not leaning over for hours. And it needs to be lightweight, portable, and foldable. And if possible be able to hold over 200lbs of person but that might be asking too much. I found this chair idea on the interwebs and I'm wondering if the XPS foam system would work instead of wood. About midway down on this site is a video of how the barstool is put together.

I think I'll have to redesign it a little but thats the general idea. I also like the simplicity of this red and white folding cardboard chair.

I'm really concerned about how sturdy a foam chair would be. If this reinforced foam could take the wear and tear of hundreds of little wiggling butts or heavy adult butts? Should I scrap this idea and just buy a directors chair like most do?
After I get a feel for the medium I plan to build a rolling workstation that can convert into having a tabletop. A lot of facepainters use something like these but I don't want to spend $300-$400

I've even looked into chuck wagon type things and I'd like to incorporate the fold out table top. Like this one.

Maybe build the whole thing on a deconstructed rolling luggage or on a handtruck like this one.

Or draw from some of the ideas of this too.

I am super poor right now (can't work due to my messed up brain) but I will work on this as soon as I have some money, I found some polyiso (sp?) foam on my Craigslist I wonder if I can use it instead? Your input appreciated.
Side note: I built a sunoven out of cardboard the other day but it's been too cold to work yet but plan to build one using this foam technic later.
