I have a potential job idea that might be suitable for part or full-times. If you read the news in the last few years you read about all the pets that die during transport in air travel .  I wonder if there's money to be made and transporting someone's pet from point a to point B for them while they're flying. I'm thinking many pet owners would rather pay for someone to transport them by ground safely than pay the same amount of money to have them transported by air in the cargo hold of an airplane and take the risk of having them die. Thoughts?

Possible. I for one woud never trust another with my pets, but thats just me.

Sounds like a great idea, wonder what kind of insurance you'd have to carry for that?

I am sure there is a market for the service. The challenge is getting connected with the pet owners who need transport. Or you can see if any of the existing pet transportation services need people. A quick google search shows there are lots of folks already established in the business. Even if you want to have your own business, working for someone else can be a good way to learn the ropes

I for one would love such a service. I appreciate the concerns about not hiring someone who has not been properly vetted or personally known, but I don't think it would take very many testimonials for me to feel comfortable. Testimonials from vets where I could call and verify (I started to say "vet" the "vet," but that sounded confusing) the testimonial would carry much more wait than just an online review that could easily be fabricated. I agree with SLYNNE - it's always good to get paid to learn, so I'd consider subcontracting under one of the existing businesses, contact them as a potential client and see what information you can glean that way.
