Thanks for the link.  I will check it out when I have time.

Thanks Cyndi! I just down loaded this book, it might be what I need. I've always heard about passive income and what it does for you but never really tried get it.

More trash that belongs in the dump.

The problem with all of this type of stuff is that they never give actual directions on how to succeed at something. Ideas are fine, but without explicit directions on how to implement them, they are close to worthless.

Too much time wasted talking about the value of your time, and not nearly enough on the nitty gritty of actually making it work for anyone. Many of the ideas presented in this ebook such as rental properties certainly wouldn't classify as passive income in my book, and neither would other risky investments.

Digital products, the selling of virtual and/or advertising space, and affiliate marketing, with proper directions on how the average Joe can implement and profit from them would make a much better book.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Many of these FREE books don't have a lot of vital content. However, they can and do stimulate ideas. The ideas are worth every penny that you DID NOT spend.

I've read thousands of free e books and have never seen any advertising

It's a digital book. when you're done with it, whether or not you got anything out of it you simply hit a key and delete it. it doesn't even take up any room in a landfill.

The advertising I was referring to was the selling of ad space on a website for income, not in an ebook...

I am not a member of whatever it is to get that ebook for free.  I had to pay for it.  I have also read the same content in more than one FREE ebook that I didn't have to pay for, including some which actually gave directions and resources.

I read a lot, and making money is one of my favorite topics.  The problem with 99% of these is there is lots of marketing hype, and no content to back it up.

The title and the marketing lead you to believe that you're getting step by step directions, which you are not.

You'll never go wrong collecting dividends. AT&T, Ford,GM, and others have paid every quarter even when the economy tanked. The stock value may go down, but it always comes back up eventually . Meanwhile, whether you do or do not have easy internet access, those divvies keep rolling in. You can open a Scottrade account with $2500. Budget a regular amount every month and pay your account first, every month. Buy 50 or 100 shares whenever you get enough. Ford is good because the stock price is modest (around $13.60) and the dividend is good (just under 5%) right now. Eventually, you have some real money coming in without having you having to do a thing.

The books are free at the time I post them and as it says in each post, free for a limited time.

But If you do pay for a book with which you are not happy it only takes a couple of keystrokes to request a refund.  I've never been denied.
