This is two months ahead of schedule but since the house sold I didn't really have much choice...

Congrats !

Yes, I have seen a number of times where a planned schedule became accelerated and caused a lot of additional stress...  it all works out.

Be sure to take an opportunity to sit on the bank and do some fishing !

Life is good.

After a week backpacking in the Wind River Range with some people I never met before, and making some amazing new friends, I am finally on the road. I am in the RV repair lot as I was conpletely exhausted when I got here to pick up my home after not having it for two weeks. I am ready to sleep in my own bed tonight!!!

I feel really disorganized coming back after two weeks and everything is cluttered and a mess...and no energy to sort it out tonight. Not going far tomorrow as I need to get things organized and clutter drives me nuts. I think the dogs feel a lot better being back home.

The Wind River Range is one of my favorite places, I'm envious of your amazing trip!

Glad you're resting some and taking your time, coming back to civilization is always a weird adjustment. I'm the same way about clutter, drives me batty, probably why I'm such a minimalist.

Did your 5th wheel come out of the repair shop with all needed fixes done? I know sometimes having an RV in the repair shop can be quite an ordeal. Just hoping that everything is all squared away so that you will be all set for the road!

I stayed at Lake of the Woods up there for several days for the total eclipse...I noticed LOTS of open land and boondocking....great place...

It was absolutely INCREDIBLE...can't wait to go back with the guys next year for another trip.

It did...breaks work great as does the non-retracting jack.

I still have a couple of things needing done but I need a little more money before I do them, and they aren't a priority (except today apparently). Need to hook my Wave heater into the main propane system, and need to replace the electric water heater element as it is causing GFCI tripping.

Currently trying to figure out why my truck isn't charging the batteries while driving. It has a 7-point plug with 12V connection so it should be.

I was searching for charging information on some new 6v batteries I got yesterday and ran across that post a few minutes ago. Made the internet seem like a small place for a moment. Hope you figure out that issue!

Check for good ground on both battery to trailer and trailer to tow vehicle.

12 plus volts making it out of the plug into the trailer pigtail? It usually is a larger gauge wire. With tow vehicle running does the voltage at the trailer battery change when plugging and disconnecting the trailer plug?

Congratulations on becoming a nomad! In reading your response to tx2sturgis I could feel the weight lifted & removed, and the freedom of no ties to a house. Now your trips will no longer be out & back, but out & out further. Good Luck & Happy Trails. Side note: Next time I want to open a good book by the fire I will go to your website instead.
